Dr Richard Martin graduated from St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School with a medical degree awarded by The University of London. He gained a fellowship in anaesthesia from The Royal College of Anaesthetists and currently holds the position of Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Anaesthesia at Great Ormond Street Hospital For Children.
In developing an interest in procedure related anxiety he trained at The Brief Strategic Therapy Foundation and graduated with distinction from the Practitioner Diploma course in Hypnotherapy. He subsequently joined the faculty at the foundation as a medical advisor and external examiner.
He currently practices as a Consultant Anaesthetist and Clinical Hypnotherapist at Great Ormond Street Hospital For Children and as a Clinical Hypnotherapist working with adults and children at Ten Harley Street and The Blackheath Hospital.
